The next two awards honour the achievements of individuals, highlighting people who are loved and respected by everyone and represent everything that is good about motorcycling.

The services to motorcyling award is given to people that have dedicated their lives to helping others both inside and outside the biking industry.

This years winner is someone that is not only a fantastic motorcycle racer, but a brilliant ambasador for motorcycling. He has raced with all the greats across three decades, he is a co-founder of the charity Riders for Health which raises millions to help children in Africa with innovative bike solutions, and now uses his knowledge to bring light to the GP paddock on British Eurosport.

The winner of the 2004 Services to Motorcyling award is none other than Randy Mamola.

The MCN Man of the Year award is coveted by many racers as it is not judged by a pannel of experts but voted for by MCN readers.

Previous winners include Barry Sheene, John Surtees, Giacomo Agostini, Geoff Duke and Colin Edwards. this years vote was one of the closest ever with readrs voting in their throusands for the likes of Valentino Rossi, Yukio Kagayama and Shane Byrne. But there was a clear winner.

The winner of this year’s MCN Man of the Year award is 2004 World Superbike champion James Toseland.
