Insurers offer one for the ladies

Bikesure is offering women riders 10 per cent off the cost of insurance and free breakdown cover in a new Lady Rider package launched on March 23.

The ladies (and Bikesure says 10 per cent of bike licence holders are women) can access a 24-hour roadside assistance recovery hotline. If the problem can’t be dealt with on the spot Bikesure’s breakdown protection will cover the costs of get-you-home transportation. If you’re stranded far from home it will cover the cost of overnight accommodation and even extends to EC countries.

Sue Chadwick, Captain of the Women’s International Motorcycle Association said: ” This is a fantastic package for lady bikers, as it addresses one of the major concerns of being stranded in isolated areas when riding out on our own.
