More bikes at Goodwood

Nearly 150,000 people turned up at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend and there were more bikes there than ever as it was the first time the festival didn’t clash with the British GP.

Organisers intentionally reduced the numbers from last year’s 160,000, by making it a ticket only event, to provide a much more relaxed atmosphere and make it less crowded.

15-times world champion Giacomo Agostini was one of the major attractions when he rode the new MV Agusta F4 1000 Ago, while Honda shipped over some of the cream of its classic collection from Japan.

Rizla Suzuki’s John Reynolds was one of the many celebrity riders to take on the timed hill climb that the event is based around.
