Ride to Work day

1 of 1

The annual Ride to Work day takes place on Wednesday, July 28.

Did you join in? Tell us what you experienced. Did you notice more bikes about today? Did you make a special effort to ride rather than drive to work?

The day – organised by the Motor Cycle Industry Association – is celebrated at the Ace Cafe in London, with the first 50 riders to arrive on the day getting a free full breakfast. And anyone turning up on a bike between 7am and 11am could enter a competition to win tickets to the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the NEC in November. Representatives from BikeSafe will be joining in to promote safer riding and the London Air Ambulance will also be involved.

Use our Have Your Say discussion boards. To organise or join in a ride-in or ride home click here.

The campaign aims to get more people on two wheels and demonstrate that riding a bike or scooter to work has social, economic and enviromental benefits.
