Insurance costs fall

The cost of insuring your bike is coming down – according to a survey of 100,000 UK riders.

Quoteline Direct carried out the research and found quotes offered in June 2004 were down an average of 4 per cent this year compared to last June.

The average premium offered last year was £238 while this year it is £228.

“People assume that insurance is going up due to increased theft and accidents, however these latest statistics show how hard the we’re working with insurers to lower costs,” said Paul O’Gorman, Group Director at Quoteline Direct.
