Kawasaki has released more pictures of the stunning new ZX-6R – among them the first pictures of the bike in action.

More spec has also been revealed. There’s confirmation of the slipper clutch (back torque limiter). The front suspension has 41mm upside forks and is fully adjustable with top-out springs. Rear is also fully adjustable.

The bore and stroke is 68 x 43.8mm and the compressin ratio 12.9:1 – giving a capacity of 636cc. It is fuel injected and uses 38mm throttle bodies.

The ZX-6RR homologation version uses a bore and stroke of 67 x 42.5mm (keeping it at 599cc to meet supersport regs) and a compression ratio of 13.5:1.

Front brakes are twin petal discs with four-piston calipers, rear is a single 220mm petal disc with single-piston caliper.

The fuel tank has a capacity of 4.5 galls and the instruments include a stopwatch-style lap timer.
