Sheene memorial poster raises £8000 already

The Barry Sheene memorial poster has raised over £8000 for Sheene’s nominated charity.

This total could triple as thousands of cheques continue to be counted, with the money going to CLIC (Cancer and Leukaemia in Children). We asked for a minimum donation of £5, but many of you have written cheques for much more.

” We will always be grateful for the money being raised through the Sheene Memorial Appeal and thankful to all his dedicated fans for their incredible generosity, ” said CLIC’s director of fundraising, Claudia McVie.

You can still get the A4 print on glossy, thick paper. To get a copy, you’ll need to make a minimum donation of £5. About 90p of this will cover printing, postage and packing the rest will go to CLIC.

In another memorial to Barry, the Lennox Cup classic motorcycle race during the Goodwood revival meeting, will be renamed the Barry Sheene trophy. Sheene won the race only last year, on a 500cc Manx Norton.
