Biker Boyz set for release

The Fast and the Furious may have met its match with Biker Boyz, set for release in the US on January 31.
The film focuses on underground street racing, with wild paintjobs, tuned bikes and plenty of chances for extreme stunts. Billed as a ” contemporary Western on wheels ” , the riders are lawyers and office workers by day, and racers by night. Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix) stars as Smoke, the undisputed champion and ” King of Cali ” , but he?s under threat from a young racing prodigy.
The plot may be suspiciously cheesy, but the cast does include some stars including Eriq La Salle (ER), Lisa Bonet (Enemy of the State), and rather worryingly Kid Rock. From a major studio and with a rock/hip-hop soundtrack, it could finally erase memories of David Essex in Silver Dream Racer.
