.International Ride To Work day

This year’s Ride To Work day will take place on Wednesday, July 16, to coincide with the same event in the U.S.

The annual event is organised by the Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCI) to promote biking, and the MCI hopes this year’s international partnership will have a greater impact.

” Ride To Work Day originated in the US 12 years ago and is hugely popular with thousands taking part. We already have connections with organisations in the Netherlands and Eire, and hope this new partnership with give an international flavour to the event, ” said the MCI’s Craig Carey-Clinch.

The event will include a competition to find ‘The Commuter of the Year’, plus other activities including bikers’ breakfasts and brunch, pillion rides and journey-time challenges.
