Triumph launches 2.3 litre Rocket

1 of 1

Triumph’s new Rocket III has twice as much torque as an R1, tops 150mph and features the biggest purpose-built bike engine ever at 2294cc.

The triple-cylinder cruiser has almost twice as much torque as a Harley-Davidson V-Rod, and 50 per cent more than a Suzuki Hayabusa. Peak torque is at just 2500rpm, and the resulting acceleration is equivalent to 1.2G of force and by comparison, a Suzuki GSX-R struggles to better the 1G mark.

We want to know what you think about the new Triumph. Send your thoughts to mcn@emap.com, and your reactions could be included in the August 27 issue of MCN. To find out more about one of the most unusual engines in motorcycling, and the bike it powers, see MCN out now.
