Coppers capital charity run

The number 12. Significant in many ways. 12 months, 12 apostles, even 12 monkeys. For two police officers it means 12 European capitals in 12 days to raise £12,000 for Save the Children..

Officers John Cooke and Reg Walker also aim to bring back a gift from each city on their 5000 mile journey, all of which will be auctioned. They’ll both be riding BMW’s, with John riding a K1200RS, and Reg choosing a R1150RT.

The trip begins in Lisbon on September 30, and destinations include Madrid, Rome Amsterdam, Paris and finally London on October 11.
