MAG chairman steps down

She’s been in office for less than a year, but the Motorcycle Action Group’s Nicky Bassett-Powell has decided to step down as chairman.
Bassett-Powell ousted the long-serving Neil Liversidge back in April after a closely fought election campaign.
MAG hasn’t revealed why she quit, but Bassett-Powell has been replaced by her deputy Aine Gale.
Bassett-Powell said: ” I have served the organisation with deep pride and could not have managed in recent months without the support of Aine. I know that she’s absolutely the best person to manage the organisation and recognise she enjoys universal support. ”
Gale will remain in the position until elections next April.
