Voxan on verge of saying ‘au revoir’

1 of 1

The future for French manufacturer Voxan is looking increasingly bleak after the failure of a takeover bid.

For the full story on the collapse of the Voxan deal don’t miss the latest issue of MCN, out May 1.

The deal collapsed at the last minute after prospective buyers Merkre Yshima backed out and the firm has been put into receivership by the courts.

Now three new buyout plans are being assessed by the French courts, including one from Voxan’s own employees, led by the plant director Didier Tirard. A decision on the firm’s future is expected in early May.

Shortly before getting bogged down in financial trouble, Voxan was planning a whole new range of bikes based around its 1000cc V-twin motor.
