Seventy new jobs in motorcycling

1 of 1

Would you love the idea of working with bikes all day? Well your dreams could be about to come true.

Britain’s biggest chain of dealers, Carnell/Motorcycle City, has more than 70 jobs waiting for the right applicants. The company took the decision to boost its staffing levels following its recent test ride weekends.

Customers had complained that the sales team were too busy doing ride outs and swapping bikes over to discuss deals and close sales with those who had already been out. A typical comment was posted on our new boards by Ampnorfolk: ” Carnell missed out on a selling opportunity as when the riders returned there was not a salesman in sight.

” So rather than pouncing on those with grins from ear to ear, they were not to be seen. ”

Carnell/Motorcycle City’s Rob Coates told MCN: ” We generated so much interest and excitement with the test rides that our customers ended up telling us we didn’t have enough people on the ground, despite drafting in friends and family, to take their order from them!

” We are still dealing online or over the phone with more than 300 leads generated from the weekend but that is no supplement to one to one service. ”

Jobs available include full time sales people, technicians with the option of joining the newly created NVQ Modern Apprenticeship Scheme, and part-time, store assistants. Interested applicants should contact Rob Coates on 08451 295250 or rob.coates@carnell-bikes.co.uk.
