Live BSB to continue on ITV Digital

BSB bosses have announced that live BSB coverage will continue on ITV Digital – at least for the short term.

In a statement released Friday, May 1 British Motorsport Promoters (BMP) said; ” ITV Sport channel is not in administration, the digital platform is and as a consequence it will continue to show the British Superbike Championship as a free-to-air offering.

” This offering will continue through until at least 11th May.

BMP has told MCN it is monitoring the situation ” on a day-to-day basis ” and it is in negotiations with ITV about future broadcasts.

BSB series director, Jos Foulston, said: ” We are obviously pleased that this will allow fans to watch forthcoming events, at least for the immediate future. As and when any changes occur we will issue the relevant information. The situation, however, does not in any way affect the BBC’s broadcasts of the championship ” .
