Bikes stolen while WSB squad is away

Bike thieves escaped with three race-prepped Ducati Monsters from WSB team GSE’s Coventry workshop over the weekend.

The squad was in Spain for the opening WSB races, but technicians working on preparing the S4s for competition were still in the UK.

GSE is doing all the preparation work on the bikes for the Ducati Monster S4 Challenge, a new one-make race series for 2002.

The three that were taken were removed at around midnight on Friday night. They can be identified by drilled and lock-wired oil plugs and brake calipers, steering dampers, open airboxes, slipper clutches with carbon covers, race exhausts and uprated ECUs.

The engine numbers to look out for are: ZDM916W4D006729, ZDM916W4D006212 and ZDM916W4D006243. While the frame numbers are: ZDMM400AA1B006676, ZDMM400AA1B006243 and ZDMM400AA1B006259.

Anyone with any information about the theft or the whereabouts of the bikes should contact Crimestoppers on: 0800 555 111.
