Tesi mutates into Vyrus

1 of 1

IF you thought Bimota’s jelly-mould-shaped, hub-centre-steered Tesi was an oddity, take a look at this.

It’s called Vyrus. There’s a Forth Bridge-style latticework chassis, an almost complete absence of bodywork and a nose which wouldn’t look out of place in the Alien films.

It’s the work of a small Italian firm called ARP Racestation, which got hold of frames from the exclusive sports bike when it went out of production in 1994.

The firm, which is based in the old Bimota factory in Rimini, Italy, is putting together 100 of them for £18,000, a pop, with a choice of Ducati 900SS or Moto Guzzi V11 motors.
