This Sunday, December 8, sees the BBC’s annual Sports Personality of the Year Awards roll around, so don’t miss this chance to make your voice heard.

Maybe it’s Neil Hodgson or Chris Walker for their heroic efforts in WSB this year, or perhaps Dougie Lampkin for adding another outdoor title to his trials trophy cabinet, or Jamie Whitham in World Supersport.

How about Ulsterman Jeremy McWilliams’ stunning MotoGP record-breaking lap around Phillip Island or David Jefferies utter domination of the Isle of Man TT?

Whomever you choose make sure you get your vote in by midnight, Thursday December 5. That’s when the polls close and a shortlist goes forward for Sunday’s live vote.

There’s strong rumours that WSB champion Colin Edwards and MotoGP wunderkind Valentino Rossi are in the frame for Overseas Personality of the Year. Then again they’ll probably give it to some Venezuelan tiddly winker…
