BMW has announced the dates of its 2003 Road Skills programme, held at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire.

There are two types of course formats available – an Introduction to Road Skills course and a Road Skills course. Both will run at Cadwell on May 20, July 29 and October 14.

The Introductory days are designed with the freshly qualified in mind or for anyone who needs a confidence boost. You one-on-one instruction on quiet roads and on track with an emphasis on machine control and building a strong platform of road riding skills.

The Road Skills days are a useful tool to honing your skills, but within the controlled environment of a track. Expert instructors gently encourage riders to explore the capabilities of their machines and you’ll come away with a better understanding of smoother, safer road riding.

Susanna Batchelor, wife of MCN’s Dave Batchelor had only a few hundred miles under her belt when she went on a Riding Skills course in August.

She reckons: ” It was excellent, just what my confidence needed. ” The instructors were excellent and despite being one of just two girls on the day everyone was really friendly and relaxed. It has really helped my riding. ”

The Introduction to Road Skills course costs £79 for World of BMW members and £109 for non-members. The Road Skills course costs £159 for members and £189 for non-members. Prices include lunch and refreshments for all participants. Trackside photography will be available for Road Skills participants only.
