Aprilia reveal new Caponord Rally Raid

1 of 1

If you want to tackle some extreme terrain, the new Aprilia Capo Nord Rally Raid could answer your prayers.

The basic Capo Nord stays unchanged for 2003, but the new Rally Raid version comes with metal top box and panniers, satellite navigation, and even tougher tyres and suspension.

Deep-cut ” mud and snow ” tyres should give it better grip off-road, especially with beefed up suspension, now adjustable for rebound and compression at both ends. It’s also 68mm taller than the stock model, making it a stretch even for taller riders.

The engine will remain unchanged, but the bodywork has been adapted for off-road mishaps. It loses the blended indicators of the stock model for easy-maintenance stalk-mounted versions, and gains crash bars and even 4×4 style bull-bar for the headlight. You also get handguards and side-mounted spotlights.

No price has been announced, but expect it to be more than the stock Capo Nord’s £6999.
