999R goes on sale December 5th

If you’re lucky enough to have £19,000 lying around the house, you might want to make a note of this date in your diary. Ducati has just announced that from 9am, December 5 it will be taking reservations on its super-exclusive 999R superbike.

You can only bid for your bike on-line, through the factory’s official website: www.ducati.com. But even if you have got the cash, you’re not guaranteed to get your hands on one. The production run is strictly limited to 800 bikes and Ducati expects to be hugely over-subscribed, despite the whopping price tag.

The 139bhp 999R drips with top drawer kit like Ohlins suspension and radial brakes and it comes with a race package to squeeze even more performance from its 999cc V-twin Testastretta engine.
