This year’s event was won by the godfather of freestyle motocross, Mike Metzger, with an incredible two, consecutive backflips.

His first had the crowd of over 220,000 fans on its feet, but no-one realised the 26-year-old was just warming up for an amazing double.

Metzger said afterwards: ” I didn’t plan to do the double, but everything felt so solid I just went for it. ”
