Three die in biker shootout

Over 200 bikers are being questioned by police in Nevada, USA after a shootout in a casino between rival biker gangs left three dead and 16 injured over the weekend.

The gunfight erupted on Saturday night after an argument broke out in the Harrah’s resort. Gamblers ran for cover as around 70 members of the Hell’s Angels and Mongol gangs fought with pistols and knives.

Within minutes more than a dozen people had been shot or stabbed.

Police reinforcements were called in from neighbouring California and Arizona and the town was " locked down " for several hours.

An estimated 80,000 motorcyclists had gathered in the area for the annual Laughlin River Run – an event that draws both mainstream motorcyclists and gangs.
