MZ sports-tourer this autumn

MZ’S sports-tourer will go on sale in the UK by the end of this year. The factory says the long-awaited 1000S, first revealed in September 2000, should be released just after the Munich Show this September.

The 1000cc parallel-twin will make 130bhp and is aimed at the Aprilia Futura and Ducati ST4. At the Show MZ will also unveil a naked version, called the 1000N, based on the tourer’s chassis and engine.
