Deacon funeral date set

THE funeral date of the late John Deacon has finally been confirmed, the laying to rest of the popular off-road star taking place next Monday.

Deacon was killed five weeks ago in the Masters Rallye in Syria, but his family and friends’ chance to say goodbye was delayed after the Plymouth-area coroner decided to conduct his own investigation into Deacon’s death.

The service will take place at 11.30am on Monday the 17th, at the St. Stephens Church in Saltash.

The family have requested that only relatives send flowers, and asked that donations be made instead to Deacon’s favourite charity Riders for Health, either directly or via the Co-Op Funeral Service, 160 Callington Road, Saltash, PL12 6HZ.
