World economy teeters… but Harley just keeps rumbling on
Updated: 19 November 2014
A month on from the terror attacks on New York and Washington and while the world economy teeters, Harley-Davidson just keeps powering on.
Perhaps Americans are backing the good old US of A more than ever before.
The firm has just reported profits of £76 million in the third quarter of 2001, a £19 million increase on the same period last year.
Shares in the firm rose to £29.31 on the New York Stock Exchange after the news.
With sales of the new V-Rod still to come, Harley is expecting to grow even more – particularly in Europe.
There’s no evidence that Harley is likely to share its good fortune with us in the form of lower prices.
