New DRZ125 for 2003

HERE’S the latest addition to Suzuki’s off-road family – the DRZ125 fun bike.

But don’t rush to place your orders yet, as it won’t even be launched in the U.S. until 2003. Apart from the engine, which is from the DR125SE, everything else is new. It has drum brakes front and rear, while the styling mimics the bigger DRZ400, with a metal bashplate and the exhaust hidden behind the side pods. It’s expected to weigh less than 90kg (198lb) so it should be a perfect introduction to biking for kids – or great for throwing around trails or your nearest field. Suzuki UK hasn’t decided if it will be imported, but expect more information at the NEC Show, which starts on November 9.
