Original owners take back some of Bikes-uk stores

1 of 1

Four of the stricken Bikes-uk dealerships are being brought back under the control of their original owners… and that means those who paid for service plans at those stores will now get what they paid for.

The service plans were thought to have become one of the victims of the chain going into receivership.

They are now back IF you did your deal with any of the following: TW Motorcycles in Oxford and Skellerns in Worcester, which have returned to their traditional owners, both branches of Somerset firm V&J Superbikes, in Bridgewater and Taunton, which are also back with their original boss.

More rescues are expected as former owners tie up deals with the receivers and they are also set to honour service agreements.

It might seem like you’re only getting what you’ve paid for, but none of the ” new ” owners are under any obligation to carry out the services as they didn’t get your money in the first place.

V&J Superbikes boss David Hopgood believes it will cost him at least £17,000 to carry out the services without getting any money back in.

He said: ” The same staff who sold the service plans in the first place will be greeting customers and it wouldn’t be right to not do the services. ”
