In the latest of our exclusive interviews with the Crescent Suzuki squad, we hook up with Karl Harris as he looks forward to next season. We caught up with him at a full Suzuki test at Brands Hatch and after only a few brief laps of the Kent circuit his message to boss Paul Denning couldn’t be clearer – ” Give me a ride on the GSX-R1000! ” .

At only 21 Harris has a very bright future in front of him. Chosen by the Crescent Suzuki to spearhead their campaign in the domestic supersport series, he is seen by many as the heir to Fogarty and Hodgson as the people’s champion with his aggressive style and up-front personality.

European Superstock champion at only 19, he then went to World Supersports for a year before being recruited by Denning. His muscular style looks especially suited to the new British Superbike spec GSX-R1000, and if his times in early testing are anything to go by, then he looks well placed to secure one of the berths in the two-man team for 2002.

Don’t forget you can catch a lift with Harris as he laps the Indy circuit on the new superbike with our on-board footage by clicking on the related link on the right.
