How to improve Honda CBR600RR’s mirrors

Q. Is it just me, or are the mirrors on CBR600RRs circa 2007 really crap? I get a lovely view of my arms and that’s it. Any ideas?

A. Another reader, Barry Sylvester, had a similar problem but sorted it in 20 minutes thanks to a “piece of a sheet 8mm black pvc”.

He filed and sanded a piece of the pvc in the shape of the mirror fixing bracket and used two new, 8mm longer bolts to fix them back in place. He’s extended the reach of the mirrors for much improved field of vision.
