Triumph Speed Triple’s clocks have packed up

Q. A friend of mine has a Triumph 1050 Speed Triple and the digital readouts seem to have packed up with no mph and the clock stuck at 1.00.

The price for replacement instruments from Triumph is £700. Does anyone offer a repair service?

A. Normally, it’s water ingress, or maybe the electrics getting ‘spiked’ from a jump-start voltage surge. Scorpio Electronics in King’s Lynn could help him out.

If he sends the clocks to them, they will inspect them and if it is going to cost more than £80 to repair it might be cheaper to get a used set which they can reprogram with the correct mileage.
