The best off-road tyres

Q. I own a Kawasaki KMX200 and I’m looking for a set of road-legal off-road tyres with the emphasis on their dirt performance.

I’ve spent ages surfing the web but can’t find any that fit the bill. The front is a 21-incher and the rear is 17 inches.

A. Your problem is the rear wheel size as the vast majority of bikes use 18- and 19-inch rears these days. If you want decent off-road performance the only tyres out there now are from Pirelli.

The MT21 Rally Crosses also comply with FIM enduro rules too. Look for a 90/90 x 21 front and a 120/90 x 17 rear.
