Can I fit an injected motor to a carbed bike?

I have a 1994 Suzuki Slingshot streetfighter which I love the look of, but getting the carbs balanced is costly. So I would like to fit a more modern fuel-injected engine, or can I get away with a new top end for my current engine?

Instead of an engine costing hundreds, plus all its ancillaries, why not buy yourself a set of vacuum gauges and learn to balance the carbs yourself? It’s pretty easy. Carbs should only need balancing every 12,000 miles, so if you’re doing yours more often, then maybe the bike has other issues?
