Best tyres for a Kawasaki ZX-9R

I need some new tyres for my 2003 Kawasaki ZX-9R. It’s currently fitted with Bridgestone BT-014s, I’m mainly an easy road rider, but I like to get it over in the bends occasionally, so could do with something that combines grip and longevity. Would the 016s be any better or could you recommend something else?

No need to go for 016s – BT-023s offer almost as much grip as the BT-016, but last twice as long. For road riding, even spirited road riding, you won’t notice a great deal of difference. They’re so close to a sports tyre that Ron Haslam has fitted them to his race school bikes at Silverstone due to their all-round/all-weather performance.
