Where can I buy Triumph paint?

Q. I just wondered if any other readers have had the same problem with Triumph paint as I have. I am the owner of an ’09 Sprint 1050 ABS in Phantom Black which I sadly managed to drop in a paddock accident.

I am trying to source paint in Phantom Black without success. My spray painter, who is very experienced, has so far been unable to source the correct paint code. My Triumph dealer was only able to supply a Triumph TR code which is not listed with any of the main paint suppliers.

The dealer did try to source a code via the internet, but it appears ridiculous that a standard Triumph colour should be so difficult to identify and source.

A. You’re in luck, Mark Watson at Windy Corner has a list of paint codes on the workshop wall and Phantom Black is made by IVC, code L5029.
