Why aren't my cooling fans working?

Q. I’m having trouble with my 2000 MV Agusta F4. The cooling fans aren’t coming on when the engine gets hot (105 degrees).

I’ve checked the fuse and that’s OK, I’m not too sure where to look next.

A. Check that the fans actually work by bridging the connector direct to the battery. If they do then it is more likely to be the temp/sender switch not cutting the fans in and it’s easily replaced.

Before hastily replacing parts, do have a quick look at the circuit wiring: loose or broken wires, chafing, corroded terminals/connections etc.
