Web wisdom: Proper coolant for a ZX-6R

jonboymp: Guys, I have a 2009 ZX-6R. It needs a drop of coolant, what should I use? The normal car stuff from Halfords? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

triumphrider600: Nooooooo. Bikes use a specific coolant. Get yourself down to your local bike shop and they will have some on the shelf as a concentrate or premix. Car stuff is totally different and will not have the right corrosion inhibitors for your engine.

jaffa90: For what you will use I suggest motorbike coolant ready mixed 50/50. I think mine¹s Silkolene Pro-Cool.
