Best tyres for riding to a track day?

Q. I’ve just bought a 2000 ZX-9R for track days.

• Save £££s on motorcycle tyres

However I have to ride to the track so I need some advice on suitable tyre options?

A. Bridgestone’s BT-016s are used as a control tyre by the Ron Haslam Race School, so they’d be up to the job. Other suitable tyres include Pirelli Diablo Corsa III, Dunlop Qualifier RR, Metzeler Sportec M3 and Michelin Pilot Power 2CT.
