Tyre advice: Best tyres for a 2002 Aprilia RSV Mille

Q. My 2002 Aprilia RSV1000R has Pirelli tyres on it. What would you recommend as the better tyres for the Aprilia? Metzeler or Pirelli?

A. It depends what you¹re going to use them for. Dunlop’s Qualifier II are a good sports tyre for the road, Dunlop Qualifier Rrs are good for road/track.

For heavier track work we rate either Pirelli Diablo Super Corsa SP or Metzeler Racetec Interact K3.

These are both road compound tyres that give lots of grip but won’t need tyre warmers.
