In-helmet audio specialists, Cardo, have taken their partnership with JBL to the next level by announcing a new, retro-fit speaker set for customers with older systems.

The speakers are 45mm diameter and will fit in most modern helmets. The connector is a 3.5mm jack, which suits most devices and the speakers cost £96 with free shipping (available for pre-order now).

Cardo, the first company to produce a Bluetooth headset for motorcyclists in 2004, first announced their collaboration with audio specialists JBL in October 2018, aiming to bring high-end audio to motorbike communication systems.

Cardo system will use JBL speakers in 2019

Cardo’s Packtalk system allows users to listen to music from a Bluetooth device on the move, has a built-in FM radio, can be used as an intercom for up to 15 riders and a hands-free phone system.

“We have been relentlessly committed to enhancing our users’ joy of riding, ever since pioneering the motorcycle Bluetooth category back in 2004. This partnership is yet another powerful example of the innovation behind that ongoing commitment,” said Dr Abraham Glezerman – Cardo’s founder and CEO.

“Much like Cardo, JBL has led its industry, always on the forefront of passion, quality and innovation. JBL and its world-class audio solutions will allow us to bring our customers a new standard of sound for the best riding experience possible.”

The upgraded version of Cardo’s Packtalk range is available now in Bold and Slim variants, both priced at £319.99 for a single kit, and £559.99 for a duo version.
