Sometimes you read a job ad and it feels like it’s been written for you. Everything they offer, you want and everything they want you to have done, you’ve done.

That’s how I felt when I first read about the Ducati Supersport.

They said: “It’s the perfect balance between sport and comfort”

I say: “Lovely.”

They said: “This is going to be a road-going sportsbike to suit everybody – it’s fun and versatile.”

I’m getting the S version of the SuperSport, so it comes with Ohlins suspension front and back, an autoblipper and a quickshifter.

I want a bike that offers enough grunt and handling to take on a track day, but one that’s equally happy pottering around country roads.

I’m planning a long trip to Scotland and may fit the Touring package to the bike for that.

So it’s all-round credentials will get tested to the max. I love the idea of the bike and I love the look of the bike and I can’t wait to get cracking!
