What's it like riding the Triumph Tiger Sport 800? Find out here...
Tested by Saffron Wilson
As I did over 10,000 miles last year, I feel like I should try and keep the five-figure sum rolling, and this is the perfect bike to test out that mileage. With so much hype around the bike, I’m keen to see if it’s the perfect all-rounder – a fantastic tourer and a bike which you can’t help but smile at through the twisties.
Can any bike really be the best at the motorway and B-roads? My plans are still in pencil, but involve going up to the Orkneys, plenty of trips to destinations across the UK and onto the continent. I am even hoping to play to its sporty nature on track, to see if it lives up to its ‘Sport’ name (something which I’m pretty hopeless at, but it’s never too late to learn is it?).
Of course, I’ll also include a visit to the Triumph Factory to explore the history behind the home-grown motorcycle and see what keeps them ticking today after 120 years of (sometimes turbulent) history.
