What's it like riding the Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX SE? Find out here...
Tested by Emma Franklin
In the words of rock titans Queen: “I want it all – and I want it now!” My bike must fulfil two prerequisites: it has to be practical, but racy enough to appeal to my sporty sensibilities. I’m going to find out if the latest evolution of Britain’s best-loved sports-tourer, the new Ninja 1100SX SE, has what it takes by filling its panniers with a one-piece then scything across Europe to a far-flung circuit.
Once there I’ll crank up the damping on its fully adjustable forks and gas-charged Öhlins rear to discover if it can raise a smile on track, before whisking me back to Blighty. I also want to see if it’ll allow me to maximise my free time by enabling me to combine two hobbies: biking and trail running. Can I ride to the foot of Britain’s three highest peaks, run to the summits then ride back home with a satisfied smile on my face and a pair of smelly trainers stashed in the boxes?
