Bike ID: #7356 We are extremely proud to announce another first for our company, we have for sale an original, un-restored 1970 Sandcast Honda CB750. This Candy Ruby Red iconic Japanese motorcycle is a genuine un-restored example that was produced mid-way through the 7,500 model production run. It is fitted with the original unnumbered sandcast exhaust pipes and has recently benefited from being fully recommissioned by John Wyatt Engineering with invoices and a list of all work carried out included in the sale. It has had the seat refurbished with the red sponge supplied by Yamiya in Japan. The "Sandcast is the most sought after of the CB750 models with Honda realising that they could beat their rivals and release their four cylinder four stroke, just weeks ahead of their rival, if they were to sandcast the engine cases, head and barrel rather than die casting. With its four-cylinder transverse engine, it was a big hit with the public at its introduction in 1968 and has since become a collectors favourite. It was unlike anything Honda had produced for the public, and frightfully similar to their race bikes, with the first mass-production in-line four-cylinder engine. It was the first Superbike, and more than 45 years later it makes for a great classic ride. Today, motorcyclists and collectors alike are snatching up original and restored early-production Honda CB750 motorcycles due to their limited numbers and their place in history.
