Bike ID: #9392 Here we have for sale our unique and stunning Ducati 996R. This example was registered in October 2001 and is a UK bike and one of only 175 supplied for the UK market. The bikes V5 shows One owner from new prior to ourselves purchasing the bike. We have recently fully recommissioned the bike including belts, all oils, fluids, filters, new chain and sprockets and a new set of Pirelli tyres. Our example was one of the bikes that left the Ducati Corse factory destined for race team use. This bike was due to be one of two bikes supplied by John Hackett for Michael Rutter to use on the Isle of Man TT that year, however due to the foot and mouth outbreak the races that year was cancelled and the bike was sold to a private owner. These "race" machines did not feature the numbered headstock and were therefore classed as "outside the numbers" This bike is one of only a handful of these examples that were never raced. The bike is also supplied with the original standard exhaust, paddock stand, service book and owners handbook and documentation including the original letters and from Ducati confirming the bikes authenticity, Original pdi inspection sheet, invoices and a selection of old MOT's. The bike will receive a fresh MOT prior to sale. These classic Ducatis are getting harder to find, especially the 996R & 998R with examples having recently exchanged hands for in excess of £34,000.
