Monimoto have announced the latest version of their low-cost and simple motorcycle tracker. The Monimoto 9 builds on the Monimoto 7 with a slightly more compact design and an IP68 waterproof rating making it ideal for withstanding the rugged environment of your motorbike – whether you’re commuting through winter or hitting the trails.

How do Monimoto trackers work?

The unit cost includes two months of SIM coverage, then it’s just £36 per year for your subscription. Setting up the 7 is as easy as fitting the batteries in (2xAA which last 24 months) and the 9 is even simpler with its USB-C rechargeable in-built batteries that last 12 months per charge.

Both versions sync to your smartphone via the Monimoto App. You can use this app to see unit status, battery life, connection and location of your bike when tracking. If the unit senses movement, but can’t contact the fob, you’ll get a call on your device and live tracking will begin.

Monimoto devices auto-arm themselves when you leave your motorcycle, and disarm as soon as it detects your paired Key Fob. No need to set any geofences on the app or click any buttons on the Key Fob whatsoever. This means you will never forget to activate or deactivate the device.

How does the app work?

Download is simple, go Apple or Google stores and get Monimoto App. 

Everything can be done from your mobile App for iPhone and Android phones: Adjust device sensitivity, pay for the GSM service, see battery level, contact Monimoto support and other device management actions. 

Get real-time alerts if your Monimoto tracker detects movement. If your bike is stolen, your app will reveal its location so your precious ride can be recovered as soon as possible. If the battery of the tracker is low, it will notify you in advance.
