Bike Stop 15% trade-in: Deal will see donated gear benefit local charity

Leading motorcycle clothing retailer Bike Stop is offering a new discount scheme saving customers cash on bike kit, whilst also benefitting local charity.

From now until the end of October, customers are being offered 15% off when they trade-in their old kit, with the used gear then given to charity. The shop hopes the scheme will be a win-win for all – giving bikers a great deal when they may be buying winter kit, helping a worthwhile charity, and boosting footfall in the store.

Located in Stevenage, Bike Stop stocks over 100 brands and is the UK’s oldest Dainese retailer. They also stock Rukka, Shoei, Arai, HJC, Sidi, Daytona, and more. Other names also include Halvarssons, Klim, and Ruroc.

Managing director Martin Brown told MCN that virtually all products were included (except Ruroc), and that the discount applies on top of any sale price. He added that further discounts, such as to clubs, wouldn’t apply and hoped only clean, saleable items would be traded in.

“We just try to do what is right for bikers. We’ve been here 40 years,” Brown told MCN. “We’re a community and we think it’s time to give back so we’re going to give the customer 15% off and give the rewards, wherever possible, to the best charity we can think of.”
