HJC's new RPHA 60 adventure helmet is in stock now! Here's why I'm excited about it
HJC’s latest adventure bike helmet, the RPHA 60, has hit the shelves of UK retailers and is available to buy now.
The new-for-2025, ECE 22.06, dual sport lid is jam-packed with the latest tech and features including a lightweight shell that HJC say contains fibre tissue used in the aircraft industry and racing.
MCN Review coming soon...

For hitting the trails, the three air intakes and four exhausts are said to ‘flush heat and humidity up and out’, but the firm say that wind tunnel testing and computational fluid dynamic programs in the design process mean the RPHA 60 is aerodynamic and stable at speed on the tarmac, too.
If you’re an all-day tourer then you’ll be pleased to see the inclusion of an internal drop-down sun visor, moisture-wicking, antibacterial liner and compatibility with HJC’s SMART 11B, 21B and 50B Bluetooth intercoms so you can keep in touch with your mates or your pillion on the road.
The HJC RPHA 60 is available in four simple paintjobs so far, all priced from £429.99; Flat Titanium (grey), Matte Black, Pearl White and the slightly off-puttingly named Sand Beige. Keep your eyes peeled for MCN’s full product review coming soon.

The competition
The all-new HJC RPHA 60 will need to be good if it wants to succeed because the dual sport/adventure motorbike helmet category is one of the most hotly contested in the market. The Arai Tour-X 5 (from £599.99), Nexx X.Wed 3 (from £329.99) and slightly older, ECE 22.05 Shoei Hornet (from £299.99) are all great options that we’ve covered thousands of miles in.

And that’s not to mention the value on offer from more budget friendly options like the Bell MX-9 ADV (£199.99) can offer.
Feeling adventurous
HJC are also pushing their latest flip-front adventure lid, the i80 (£229.99), which MCN team member Robin Kirkley is currently testing. It’s a dual homologated option, meaning it can be used in both full and open face modes on the road but looks every inch the pukka ADV lid when it’s closed.
The i80 also features an internal sun visor and many of the other design features of the RPHA 60 but in a more versatile overall package.
