Baby steps: Best kids’ motorcycle boots

Not only can your child wear these boots for their motocross adventures, but they're also suitable for touring and racing. This is particularly useful as there isn't much choice out there for day-to-day kid's motorbike boots.

This is one comfortable-looking kids' motorcycle boot. Based on the Fox Instinct boots, it has an internal lace system for a more custom fit. With plenty of protection, the Fox Comp Youth MX boots have TPU shin plates, a toe cap and calf guard.

The Tech 7S from Alpinestars is designed for junior riders. These boots have a contoured shin plate injected with TPU for impact and abrasion resistance. They have a medial-facing side, incorporating TPU panels for added grip and contact with the bike. Adding to the comfort, there's soft polyfoam reinforcement on the ankles and collar, which also helps with shock absorption.

With a full-grain leather outer construction, these Duchinni boots are a good all-round kids' road boots. They're waterproof, breathable and have reinforcement on the shin, toe and heel cup, with a double-layered leather on the gear shifter pad. So your child can use them for riding or as a pillion.
