I guess you’d say I’m an experienced, NCTJ-trained automotive journalist… while I’ve had a life-long interest in bikes, I started writing about cars full-time in 2011, mainly for Parkers and CAR, but also Modern Classics, Classic Cars, Classic Car Weekly, Evo, Auto Express, T3, Jalopnik, Fleet News, the Daily Telegraph and more. I’m interested in engineering in general, from IT to aerospace, and I relish the challenge of developing digital storytelling. I’m a member of the BSME, and was awarded its Motoring Editor of the Year gong in 2021.

During 2025 I’m lucky enough to be running a Kawasaki Ninja 650 on the MCN fleet. Previous long-term test bikes include the Yamaha R7, Triumph Trident 660 and Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. I’m fairly well versed in the process of learning to ride a motorbike and have reviewed several motorcycles, including models as diverse as the Kawasaki Ninja 500 and Vespa 300 GTS.
